Servers

The term "Server" is a general term describing any device or program providing some type of service to one or more computers, users, or applications. Most people think of servers as a big piece of expensive equipment that does all kinds of things when in fact, servers exist in routers and other pieces of hardware and some servers can run efficiently on computer technology that is 20 years old. Typically, one server on a network is actually performing several services simultaneously:

Sometimes all of these services can exist on one piece of equipment and in other situations they may need to be spread across several pieces of equipment. This depends on the size of the workload a given "server" must be able to maintain efficiently. Our engineers have experience with Microsoft Server operating systems spanning from Windows NT 3.5 to the present and have been trained in MCSE accredited programs on all Microsoft Server Operating Systems and their related technologies. We specialize in Active Directory authentication, remote access and security policies. We offer licensing services for the general public, government agencies, academic, and non-profit organizations.
