Failover


In addition to replication, we can provide failover services for critical devices. If a primary device fails to respond, then the "failover" device will take over. The data is kept consistent between the multiple devices by using replication services. Once the primary device comes back online, then the failover device will update the primary system with any changes found and release control back to the primary device. This setup allows for virtually 100% uptime. The term "device" is used because failover does not apply only to computers or servers, and can be achieved with different types of equipment in various ways.
