Company History

The concept of 1 Up Technologies' unique combination of services started as a business model in 2002 by Christopher Lewis and Eric Morritt, spurred by the integration of traditional media and digital technologies, as an answer to the increasing Information Technology and Multimedia needs of businesses and consumers.

Originally named Integrated Technology Interiors and based in the Tri-Cities Tennessee area, I.T.I. opened in 2003, offering computer sales and services, and design and installation of multimedia conference rooms and home theatres.

In 2005, I.T.I. purchased Brookshire Computing Solutions and expanded its computer sales and service division. Following completion of a production lab, the company grew quickly to include industrial quality multimedia production, media duplication services, and obsolete media recovery services.

Following the marriage of one of the owners and the desire for a better economic climate, in 2006 the company was moved to Slidell, LA, originally to assist with replacement of information technology equipment and structured cabling for businesses damaged in hurricane Katrina.

Upon completion of a new storefront in the Lenox Centre of Slidell, the business name was changed to 1 Up Technologies in August 2006, and became a full service technology center for business customers and consumers. The Information Technology department offers computer system sales, service, repair, and upgrading, professional networking services, and remote backup services. The Multimedia division offers professional video and audio production services, duplication and packaging of CD's and DVD's, film and tape transfers to DVD or data discs, recovery and restoration of obsolete media such as 78 RPM records, cylinder recordings, tape and wire recordings, and older videotape formats, and professional disc record services including custom cut records, DJ "dubplates", and mastering for vinyl record production.

The retail store at 1 Up Technologies offers unique and hard-to-find computer accessories and parts. Products offered by us have been evaluated and tested to ensure each product is the best value for it's price range. Our goal is to provide customers with the best solution for their dollar, and superior support following the sale.
