In October of 1997, 42.8% of American households owned a computer. As of October 2007, that number climbed to 78%. Support

Our Information Technology department can provide you with expert service via phone, in our store, or on-site. Telephone support is available at a reduced rate, as not all problems require that you bring your computer to our service center. Whatever the problem, we can recommend the best way to proceed with getting you back up and running as quickly as possible.

Repairs

Does your computer seem to be running slower than it should? Are you geting error messages that mean nothing to you? Has your printer, CD writer, or another device suddenly stopped working? These are all common problems, which can be quickly corrected. Whether your problem is hardware or software based, your machine will be quickly and efficiently diagnosed, repaired, and returned to you, usually within two to four business days, not one or two weeks.

Upgrades

Would you like to know if your computer is worth upgrading, or if you should just purchase a new one? Would you like additional memory or storage space to help your machine run faster? Let us evaluate your computer - we can then let you know whether an inexpensive upgrade is best, or if you will be dropping cash into a bottomless money pit. Memory and other components can be easily upgraded, however sometimes a machine is simply too old to bring up to current standards. We can recommend a new machine that won't break your budget, will bring you up to date, as well as transfer your data from your old machine.

Software/Hardware Installations

Software can be fairly easy to install, but some applications such as CAD and graphic design software can be confusing. And for most users, hardware installations are best left to a professional. If you would rather have a pro handle your installations, even for products purchased elsewhere, let us help. Simple installations are billed at a rate much lower than our regular bench rate for repairs, just to give you peace of mind that your machine's hardware and operating system will not be damaged.

Diagnostics

Our shop is equipped to quickly and efficiently diagnose many common computer problems. Our knowledge and experience count when less common problems arise. Utilizing the latest diagnostic procedures and equipment, 1 Up Technologies will have you back at top performance in no time!

Data Backup and Recovery

Unfortunately, the time most people think about backups is when it's too late. For businesses, data backup is critical, but it is just as important for a home user. For example, would you lose all of your family pictures and music downloads if your hard drive crashed? Most computer users just don't take the time to ensure that their data is properly backed up.

1 Up Technologies can make recommendations for backup on your personal computer, or implement a secure and effective backup routine for your business. You can also subscribe to our off-site remote backup service. Your data is safely, securely, and cost-effectively backed up off-site so in the case of a major disaster, you won't lose everything. Security

Business servers that are connected to the internet suffer attacks from the outside at an average rate of 24 times a day. It is important to protect the inside from the outside - but did you realize it's just as important to protect the inside from the inside? For example, we have seen many cases where an employee leaves a company, but the company doesn't delete or disable the employee's user account. This practice, among others, leaves holes in your company's security.

It is also common for businesses to not regulate Internet browsing, allowing employees to visit websites that contain dangerous material, causing their computers to become cluttered with spyware and other malicious software, slowing productivity and ultimately decreasing revenue.

Let us audit your system - whether just one computer or an entire network - and make recommendations to secure your data and bring productivity up.
